Morgan Stanley has boosted Apple’s stock (AAPL) to a target price of $150 per share. This is good news to Apple shareholders. In fact, the last 4 days of trading have shown an $8 per share increase in the stock value. This is probably due to Apple’s new DRM-free music at the iTunes Store. However, investors are carefully watching the upcoming debut of Apple’s iPhone. There has been much speculation about how well-received the iPhone will be with consumers.

I’m beginning to work more with movie files, especially 15-30 second snippets captured from a still camera. If you’ve collected a large number of these, it can be a tedious task to concatenate these into one QuickTime file for editing. I found this AppleScript code at MacOSXHints, and created an applet, which does just that. Select a number of QuickTime snippets and drag and drop over this applet to have them concatenated into one larger QuickTime file.

Free and opensource software is good for us all, even those who don’t use it. That’s because it encourages the commercial software makers to pay attention to the quality of their product.
This is one of the best Mac opensource resources I have come across. Please use opensource and contribute the opensource community whenever you can.

I love my intel-Mac. The performance in OS X is excellent. I did install WindowsXP via Parallels on it too, and I am quite pleased with it’s performance on the occasions when I must run Windows. But the truth is that I don’t ever really want to run Windows. There’s almost nothing about the OS itself that I like. What I really want is to use some applications which require Windows in order to run. Or, at least that’s what I thought before I came across CrossOver Mac.
The great thing about CrossOver Mac is that you can run Windows applications without ever needing to buy a Windows operating system. This is a great solution for folks who need to run a few common Windows apps and would prefer not to purchase Windows to do it.
