Apparently, this network connection error has been experienced by more than a few Entourage users in Mac OS X. After scouring several forums, it appeared that the few solutions had to do with contacting an ISP and notifying them of the problem. This sounds suspiciously like MS is passing the buck.
I’ve found the problem seems to be fixed by unchecking both the “Send commands to server simultaneously” box and the “Live Sync” box.
I end up doing a lot of diagramming and illustration work for the most of the training and support material I produce for clients. I’ve used Illustrator, FireWorks, and even PhotoShop in the past for some of this work. Each of these applications are powerful and feature-rich. But often they were overkill for what I needed.
These days I find myself turning more often to one very well-designed, easy-to-use application: OmniGraffle Pro
